All About Myself
I first step into this slippery world on the 3rd day of January as early as 2:00 o'clock in the morning of 1998. This was the first time the world hear my voice as I open my mouth and cried "oha".
From then, my parents have attended to my needs and have made me feel that I am very dear to them. They patiently taught me the things that I needed to learn. They guided me in articulating the words to say. And when I said the first word "mama" how happy they were.
When I became ready to do little things on my own, I began to become insecure. I am the 3rd child in the family. Our eldest is a boy, next is a girl then me, another boy. Most of the time I felt I was less loved compared to my brother and sister. But my parents always assured me that we are all dear to them as their children.
Time came when I was ready for pre-school. My mother enrolled me at Kinder Gar ten in our barangay and finished with honor. After that, I proceeded to grade 1. Time is so swift. Without noticing I started discovering my talents as early as ten years old, I played table tennis and volleyball in the provincial meet. I finished elementary as 10th honor and athlete awardee.
As I entered high school, I had all the opportunities to develop myself. I continued playing volleyball as a setter in our team and became champion in the district level many times.
Aside from sports, I was also a member of the school publication staff. I participated Division School Press Conference for three consecutive years as a photojournalist. Except from that, I am also a choir member in our school. Those experiences helped me a lot in shaping my personality.
After high school, I plan to enroll BSMT course. But there were some factors which hindered me so I decided to enroll at University of Mindanao with Bachelor of Science in Criminology.
This is my second year in this course. Though it's quite hard for my mother to pay tuition fee, she tries hard to pay it on time on time for me to have focus on my studies. I know it's not easy my mother to support the two of us in college. My brother younger brother, the youngest in the family is taking up Civil Engineering at the University of Southeastern Philippines.
With this, She always reminds us to do our best in school because this is the only wealth she could leave us. We don't have riches. My mother teaches in secondary school as her profession. We are four, three males and one female who has a heart problem.
Inspite of financial difficulties we are encountering, we are hopeful to overcome all these. As long as we are alive, God is always there to shower everyone his blessings. All we do is to allow him to direct our lives.
I learned this in my family because my parents are members of the CFC community and we, there children are all Youth for Christ members. Before I became YFC member, I served as Altar Boy for eight years since eight years old up to sixteen years old.
I am just happy that we are brought up in this way because there are lots of temptation around to destroy lives. What I want at present is to finish my studies and served the people in the community and also help my family financially.
